Description
A bright full moon lights up the starry night sky over the Rincon Mountains and Sonoran Desert landscape found east of Tucson, Arizona. Micah Mountain can be seen dusted in snow glistening in the moonlight, as a pair of saguaro cacti look upon the wonder of the landscape in silent solitude. A pair of shooting stars can be seen, intensifying the magic of the moment.
This landscape can be observed by heading eastbound on Speedway Blvd, one of the Tucson metro's busiest streets, and continuing east on it for miles and miles until it ends at the Douglas Spring Trailhead of the north fringe of Saguaro National Park.
There is a little parking area where one can venture out into the peaceful wilderness. The first time I ever experienced this area was on a December night in the moonlight, and now I felt compelled to paint it.
