Description
Autumn gog on a cool, cloudy day consumes the fall-colored foliage near the top of Mountain Lemmon in the Santa Catalina Mountains north of Tucson, Arizona. The foliage is perfectly set amid the mist to create haunting, intriguing image that is among my personal favorites of fine art photography. This grove of pine, firs and aspen was found near the community of Summerhaven nearby the General Hitchcock Highway (also more popularly known as the Catalina Highway). The sprawling Coronado National Forest covers much of the range.
It is hard to believe that in the desert valley below, it was mostly sunny and 80°, but true. Mount Lemmon, part of the Madera Sky islands of southern Arizona, is so much higher than its surrounding desert that it has dramatically different climate and vegetation from its surroundings.
I appreciate your visit to my art and photography gallery. All of my work is available is available as a print, framed print, acrylic print, metal print, wood print, canvas print, or greeting card. The sizes of wall art range from the 5" x 7" greeting card to 72" wide in some cases! All materials are archival and beautifully printed for a lifetime of use in home or office.
