Description
The organ pipe hoodo rock formations of the Chiricahua Mountains are seen in dramatic black and white from Bonita Canyon in Chiricahua National Monument in southeastern Arizona. These vertical columns of granite comprise much of the mountain range, and dominate the landscapes of the west edge of the Chihuahuan Desert. Late day sunlight illuminates the rocks as stormy clouds sit forebodingly on the horizon.

Today, I am turning the gaze to YOUR COLLECTION, BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY. The world of graphite, charcoal and chalk was my first artistic expression and laid a powerful foundation for the media explorations to follow. Similarly, there is a POWER within the realm of black and white photography that underpins The ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS of your FINE Art PHOTOGRAPHY and understanding of one’s aesthetic long before the understanding of the dance of colour. No wonder your work is “well composed”, Chance!..LF
