The Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River are seen amid the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. This sprawling oasis of rivers, waterfalls, lakes, streams, forest, granite, steamy pools, and geysers sits atop a molten volcanic caldera, forming an otherworldly, high-elevation plateau in northwestern Wyoming as well as slivers of Idaho and Montana.
Named "The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone," this 24 mile long, 1,000 foot deep abyss is carved by the raging rapids of the Yellowstone River. This painterly artwork depicts the view from Artist Point, one of the most scenic viewpoints in the entire park, with rows of trees intermixed with jagged granite, foamy roaring water, mist, and fluffy clouds in a huge Wyoming sky. This landscape must be experienced in person to grasp the magnitude of it. Once Artist Point is reached, it's very difficult to leave because the view is so enchanting. About Chance Kafka

Tucson based photographer and artist Chance Kafka is a native of Laramie, Wyoming, and grew up in the small community of Wheatland, before returning to Laramie for college. He took an interest into photography at a young age, photographing clouds, sunsets, and landscapes. At age 17, he won 1st Place in the Platte County Fair photography competition in 3 out of 5 categories as the only entrant to win more than one category. Following this local success, he worked as a feature writer and photographer for the Platte County Record Times while still in high school.
