Description
The Grand Canyon is seen as a panorama with the iconic Mather Point to the left. Mather point is often the first time tourists to the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona get a good view of the canyon. Onlookers can be seen standing atop the cliff face to the left.
This winter day affords many dramatic shadows and contours as sunlight hits the temples and cliff faces and deep blue shadow reaches down in to the Granite Gorge, carved by the Colorado River. Many famous temples including Zoroaster and Wotan's Throne are visible from this iconic point, with O'Neill Butte below. It is my hope this panorama conveys some of the size and scope of this incredible place, which is one of the most wondrous in all the American Southwest, United Stated, and world.
