The South Rim Trail of Grand Canyon National Park in Northern Arizona offers fantastic views of the canyon. Around sunset, as dusk settles in, I decided to capture the trail itself. It is an inviting, fairly easy trail with all kinds of stopping points to look out. We see Isis Temple on the left. The peachy tones in the cirrus clouds above added a nice mood to the scenery.
About Chance Kafka
Tucson based photographer and artist Chance Kafka is a native of Laramie, Wyoming, and grew up in the small community of Wheatland, before returning to Laramie for college. He took an interest into photography at a young age, photographing clouds, sunsets, and landscapes. At age 17, he won 1st Place in the Platte County Fair photography competition in 3 out of 5 categories as the only entrant to win more than one category. Following this local success, he worked as a feature writer and photographer for the Platte County Record Times while still in high school. Spectacular! I've always wondered what the trails look like at the Grand Canyon. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've seen one in a photograph. Despite my fear of heights, it looks very inviting. Would love to visit some day!
