"Grand Canyon Storm" by landscape painter Chance Kafka features Isis Temple and Cheops Pyramid lit by rays of sunlight as the rock walls of Mather Point are prominently visible to the lift. The South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona affords some of the most stunning panoramic views in the American desert Southwest. Bolts of lightning strike the mountainous temples as a dramatic thunderstorm brews in the near-sunset sky. Cliffrose trees in the foreground overlook the gorge.
This painting was completed on black canvas using oil pants. Fantastic print reproductions are produced on archival materials and are built to last a lifetime. About Chance Kafka
Tucson based photographer and artist Chance Kafka is a native of Laramie, Wyoming, and grew up in the small community of Wheatland, before returning to Laramie for college. He took an interest into photography at a young age, photographing clouds, sunsets, and landscapes. At age 17, he won 1st Place in the Platte County Fair photography competition in 3 out of 5 categories as the only entrant to win more than one category. Following this local success, he worked as a feature writer and photographer for the Platte County Record Times while still in high school.
