Description
The last light of the day hits the Santa Catalina Mountains north of Tucson, Arizona at sunset, as seen from the Finger Rock Trail north of Tucson. At sunset, these mountains can be lit up in brilliant, bold colors. This is a lower flank of Mount Kimball, which dominates the Pusch Ridge wilderness area. Dramatic clouds fill the sky from recent monsoon season rains, which add a real flare to the Sonoran Desert of the American Southwest. Common to the Tucson area, Saguaro cacti dot this landscape.
