The nearly full moon rises above Mount Wrightson of the Santa Rita Range south of Tucson, Arizona. The Santa Rita Mountains are among the highest mountain peaks in the Sonoran Desert Region of Southern Arizona.
The American Southwest has incredible landscapes that are only enhanced with the capture of a full moon in the sky. When the full moon rises at sunset, the landscape is cast in golden hues adding a golden hour drama.
Mount Wrightson towers over the popular Madera Canyon, which is a popular getaway for residents of Sahurita and Green Valley.
As with all of my work, this may be ordered as a print, framed print, canvas, metal print, acrylic print, and more. They are the perfect addition for home, office, or interior design project.
About Chance Kafka
Tucson based photographer and artist Chance Kafka is a native of Laramie, Wyoming, and grew up in the small community of Wheatland, before returning to Laramie for college. He took an interest into photography at a young age, photographing clouds, sunsets, and landscapes. At age 17, he won 1st Place in the Platte County Fair photography competition in 3 out of 5 categories as the only entrant to win more than one category. Following this local success, he worked as a feature writer and photographer for the Platte County Record Times while still in high school.
