Description
Mexican Gold Poppies enjoy the radiant sun against a blue sky on a warm spring day in the Sonoran Desert of the American Southwest. Seen near Tucson Arizona, they are a sign of spring.
In perhaps my favorite photo I have ever taken thus far, I got WAY down to a worm's eye view (and got covered in rocks, dirt and a few cactus needles in the process) to capture the sun beaming down on lively poppies. I love the way the sunlight filters through the petals.
This was seen from a dusty wash in Saguaro National Park - West in the Picture Rocks area west of Tucson.
I appreciate your visit to my art and photography gallery. All of my work is available is available as a print, framed print, acrylic print, metal print, wood print, canvas print, or greeting card.
