Description
I have hand-drawn a digital painting of the sparkling lights of Tucson, Arizona as seen from the locally famous Windy Point Vista, which is approximately halfway up the Catalina Highway ascending Mount Lemmon. From this lookout, a couple sits atop a rock, the man with a flashlight in hand, as they gaze in wonder at their surroundings during the late evening twilight . A bit of glow from the long-set sun still lingers, as a crescent moon and Venus sit low in the sky.
This is a concept I had planned on painting for a long time. After a few days of hard work, it is finally finished. I was hoping to convey the beauty of Tucson, as seen from this spot, and how it also a great place to watch the lights with someone special.

Now that is over the top cool. I love the colors of the sky and especially the lights of the city. Looks like fairy dust! Awesome work -- as always, Chance! L/F

I love the levels of light, darkness and dramatic mystery in this night scene. Millions of stars and a crescent moon are magic.

For over 50 years, I have enjoyed being out on the rocks at Windy Point, Chance. It has inspired a number of paintings including a mural on a custom van I once owned. Glad that you too were inspired to paint it!....fav / like

It does look like a beautiful nighttime spot. Love the two birds flying off to their nest together combined with the couple on the overlook, matches the mood well. I’m not big on city lights, but they are quite pretty in this artwork. Great job. LF
