Description
White Sands is seen in black and white. White Sands is a National Monument in New Mexico between Alamagordo and Las Cruces. This area is famous for its wavy sand dunes and loesses that create a striking contrast with the yuccas and other shrubs of the Chihuahuan Desert, and I find it to be one of the most iconic landscapes of the American Southwest. This particular late afternoon near sunset saw brilliant wispy cirrus clouds filling the sky over the striking Tularosa Basin and bold sunlight. There are many interesting perspectives, leading lines and points of view here, best enjoyed in solitude.
Prints of this southwestern landscape photography are the perfect fit for office, home, hotel, lobby, or any interior design project or gift idea.
