Tucson based photographer and artist Chance Kafka is a native of Laramie, Wyoming, and grew up in the small community of Wheatland, before returning to Laramie for college. He took an interest into photography at a young age, photographing clouds, sunsets, and landscapes. At age 17, he won 1st Place in the Platte County Fair photography competition in 3 out of 5 categories as the only entrant to win more than one category. Following this local success, he worked as a feature writer and photographer for the Platte County Record Times while still in high school. I did a winter snow scene near here, Chance. Mt. Kimball and Finger Rock are behind the clouds here but the mighty old Saguaro and desert look great.....Fav / like

I have seen some calendars around here with this same scene and snow on the mountains and desert - I wouldn't be surprised if you are featured in some of the calendars around here. I am never sure which mountain is Mt Kimball, haha, but I know it's in that direction. I find it amusing when people refer to the entire range as Mount Lemmon, since the actual Mount Lemmon is fairly nondescript and small - it's just the highest point in the Catalinas.
