Artist's Description
The last light of the day illuminates the peaks of the Santa Rita Mountains south of Tucson, Arizona. Mount Wrightson rises above the Santa Cruz River valley as seen from the grassland beyond the mouth of Madera Canyon near Sahuarita and Green Valley. This is an example of my lengthy portfolio showcasing the beauty and drama of the Sonoran Desert of the American Southwest.
This photograph was honored with the selection of "Photo of the Day" by the prestigious Arizona Highway magazine on December 26th, 2019.
