Description
Just east of Tucson's eastside, the setting sun and its rays are seen peeking through the limbs of a saguaro cactus. Pusch Ridge and Mount Kimball are seen on the left below these lofty clouds and Sonoran Desert lushness and prickly pears adorn the landscape below.
Tucson, Arizona is flanked by the mighty Santa Catalina Mountains to the north of the city. Saguaro cacti surround the city in its perch on the floor of the Sonoran Desert that reaches into Arizona from Mexico. This iconic southwestern landscapes features some amazing sunsets, especially during the rainy season (also known as Monsoon season). Although it is a bit early for monsoon season to hit the Old Pueblo, and forecasters say it won't be fore a while, I couldn't help but notice magnicifcent clouds building up so I had to head out to the area near Saguaro National Park (Rincon Mountain division) to capture these photos of the gold, yellow, and deep blue radiance and glowing heavenly excellence that overtook the the region this June evening.
