Description

The Grand Canyon is bathed in radiant golden light at sunrise.There is perhaps no better landscape in Arizona or the desert southwest to see the sunrise than Grand Canyon National Park. Rays from the rising sun next to Vishnu Temple light up the depths of the gorge and the tips of O'Neill Butte and the rocks of Mather Point as seen from a popular overlook along the south Rim. The pastel sky of gold, orange, red and purple is a timeless representation of Arizona. Glints of light also catch the rock walls of kaibab limestone that line the rooms.

This particular viewpoint near Mather Point is one of the first many visitors to the canyon might see, including myself the first time I visited. I set out to create a beautiful, painterly rendition of what a glorious sunset from this spot may look like. It is my hope that your purchase of a print from me - or the original - yields a lifetime of enjoyment. It is my vision and goal to portray the landscapes we see through a warm lens - one that evokes a sense of peace, tranquility and excitement for the wonder the natural world can behold.
